    • Karambit

    • Sweeps and Takedowns

    Silat Suffian Bela Diri is a martial art that focuses primarily on bladed combat. In this art, practitioners learn how to effectively move, position themselves, and defend against an opponent wielding a blade.

    Day 1: Knife
    Day one will focus on Knife v. Knife, Knife v. Empty Hand, and Disarms.

    Day 2: Karambit
    Day two will build off of the knife training, working with the unique properties of the Karambit.

    Day 3: Sweeps and Takedowns
    Day 3 will feature off-balancing and takedowns from weapon engagement.

  • REQUIRED: Training clothes, eye protection, groin protection, knee pads.

    Training swords, machetes, and knives will be available for sale, along with SSBD and SSBD Oregon merchandise.

    You can bring your own training weapons; NO LIVE WEAPONS ALLOWED.

“Hello, my name is Maul Mornie. I am originally from Brunei but was living in the UK for more than 20 years. Before moving back to Brunei again in 2019.

I am the founder of Silat Suffian Bela Diri (SSBD), a martial arts system that originates from Brunei. It has been taught openly and widely accepted around the world, attracting people of different ages, genders, and martial arts backgrounds.”
